The British Touring Car Championship, or BTCC, is one of the UKs premier motorsport series, and a recently launched website is taking it’s story to the masses.

BTCC Crazy is in it’s first season with the series and is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the championships most professional sites.

I’m delighted to have been asked to write for the site and you can find out more about the BTCC at the site, www.btcccrazy.co.uk, or by following our Twitter feed at @BTCCCrazy

Englands First World Cup Game Not To Plan

Saturday, June 12, 2010 21:24
Posted in category Uncategorized

England started the World Cup in dream fashion when Steven Gerrard opened the scoring after just 4 minutes last night!

But then the game stuttered, to finish in a rather disappointing 1-1 draw.

The nature of the USA goal was the big talking point after Rob Green spilled, what looked to be a simple stop, into the back of his own net.

The World Cup party seemed to have started for the USA Team as they stayed on the pitch to celebrate after the final whistle whilst England quietly returned to the dressing room.

All of the latest world cup scores can be found at Latest Football Scores throughout the tournament!

Englands fans will be hoping for a much better performance against Algeria next Friday!

New MotorsportCorner Site Planned

Posted in category MotorsportCorner

With the success of the MSC trial website, I’ve decided to start work on a whole new site for MotorsportCorner.com, which will make the site more user friendly by creating seperate areas for different forms of motor racing.

It should enable faster updating of the site and allow links to be changed on a regular basis do ghat new pages are presented to visitors instead of the same old static page.

I’m also considering a seperate Twitter account just for MotorsportCorner (and possibly for LatestFootballScores) aimed just at motorsport fans.

MotorsportCorner Website Success

Posted in category MotorsportCorner

It may not be bringing in visitors by the thousand just yet, but the new MotorsportCorner site is a success in it’s own little way!

The site currently consists of just a few standard web pages and a linked dynamically generated pages. In other words, there is the main page and seperate pages for Formula 1, the BTCC, the WTCC and the WRC making a total of just 5 pages.

The real trick to MotorsportCorner is the dynamically generated pages that feed off of those pages!

Every sub page is generated by the keyword in the link, for example :

http://www.motorsportcorner.com/f1/ross_brawn_mercedes.html

This link will open a page with content automatically generated using the keywords "Ross Brawn Mercedes"! Go ahead and check it out!

The page hasn’t been specially created, in fact it’s the same as any other page on the site. Try it for yourself by typing your own keywords into the following :

www.motorsportcorner.com/f1/your_keyword_here.html

You can either use underscore (_) or a space to seperate words for key phrases, but remember to add .html at the end or it won’t work!

So, there are 5 standard pages and 4 dynamic pages on the server so far, but I’ve just googled the site to see how many listings there are (use ’site:http://www.motorsportcorner.com’ for this)! How many do you think?

Did you guess at 9 pages? No, there were 112 listings because google has followed 112 of my links to dynamic pages!

Feel free to comment and let me know if you’re interested in running a site like this of your own. I might be in a good enough mood to help you out!!!

You’ll have probably seen my previous post on the new MotorsportCorner website, which is full of information, videos, posts, news and articles on Formula 1, The British Touring Car Championship and The World Touring Car Championship.

Although the full page hasn’t been added yet, there is a WRC World Rally Championship page that has been added and will be followed by the usual WRC Drivers, Teams, Cars and Circuits information in it’s own section of the site.

If you’d like to know more about the WRC or any other form of Motorsport, just drop me a line so that I can look at adding this in the future.

Over the last few weeks I’ve launched a couple of wordpress related websites, each focusing on a different aspect of wordpress.

WP Blogging is a site which focuses on wordpress plugins, wordpress themes, wordpress tutorials and mobile wordpress tools. You’ll find a wide selection of solutions and ideas to make you wordpress blog work better, look better and become more functional, as well as user friendly!

WP Videos is (if you hadn’t guessed already) full of useful videos to help you get the most from wordpress blogs. Many people find it much easier to learn from watching other people do something than to try and learn from a book or written website.

Both of these sites are already available and there will be more on the way, after all there’s so much to learn about wordpress and so many features to add!

As well as placing updates here on this site, you can go to WordpressWire where all of my wordpress blog related sites will be listed.
